We accept applications Mon through Fri from 10am to 2pm at our office location.  Otherwise, please call our office at 614-725-3808 to schedule an appointment to complete an application.  Our office is located at 3246 Noe Bixby Road, Suite 111 on the eastside of Columbus.  We are looking for people who have experience working with difficult (behavioral) and challenging individuals.   We have a great team of professionals, good pay and flexible hours.  Experience, motivation and a positive attitude is required.  Training is provided.

We have the following positions currently available:

Support Staff
Provides support to individuals with developmental and mental health disabilities. As Support Staff you will assist clients with their day-to-day living activities in their home or in the community on behavior management, communication, life skills and social skills. Transporting clients to medical appointments, community recreational activities and community resources is required. Some clients live in their own homes while others still live at home with their family members.

QUALIFICATIONS:
• 1 year of experience providing support to individuals with developmental disabilities, emotional behavioral concerns, and mental health.
• High School Diploma or GED
• Valid Ohio driver license with less than six points
• Valid Automobile Insurance
• Valid First Aid and CPR

Respite Providers
Respite Providers provide temporary care of youth and young adults within your own home or in the community in order to provide support to their primary caregivers. Respite Providers are paid a daily rate based upon the client’s needs and the services required. Provider must have a spare bedroom in their home, and have to pass a home safety inspection. If you are considering doing Foster Care, then become a Respite Provider first in order to get a real feel for the role of a care provider of special needs youth.

QUALIFICATIONS:
• 21 years or older
• 2 year of experiences providing support to individuals with developmental disabilities, emotional behavioral concerns, and mental health in a group home or foster care setting.
• Home must pass safety inspections
• Must have a spare bedroom with a spare bed.
• Valid First Aid and CPR
• High School Diploma or GED
• Valid Ohio driver license with less than six points
• Valid Automobile Insurance
• Valid First Aid and CPR
• NO prior history of Abuse, Neglect, or Dependency with Children Services
• Wheelchair accessible is a plus

Camp Staff (Seasonal Positions)
Our Special Needs Summer Camp program is a seasonal program that runs from June 4th to August 25th from 8am to 5pm Monday through Friday. Our camp staff provides supports to youth with developmental disabilities and emotional-behavioral issues. Camp staff provides supervision, fun and role modeling for campers through providing recreational and social skills during camp hours. Transporting clients in your own car may be required. This position will offer you a great deal of experience while having fun during the summer with a great bunch of kids.

QUALIFICATIONS:
• 1 year of experience providing support to individuals with developmental disabilities, emotional behavioral concerns, and mental health.
• Experience of working in large group settings, assisting with outdoor activities to promote independence and increase social recreational skills
• High School Diploma or GED
• Valid Ohio driver license with less than six points
• Valid Automobile Insurance
• Valid First Aid and CPR

Camp Program Supervisor
Responsible for the supervision and management of our Friendship Camp program. Duties include the development of the program schedule, coordination of transportation, coordination of activities, supervision of camp staff and the daily operations of camp. Experience working in a day camp is a plus. Experience with behavior management, kids with disabilities and kids with serious behavioral issues is needed. Training is provided, good pay and the potential for a permanent management position after camp is available.

Skills/Qualifications:
• Hold a bachelor’s degree with one year of experience in Human or Social Service fields. Or a Associate degree with a minimum of two years of paid work experience work with developmental disabled, and providing program management, coordination of services, and supervision of staff
• Current and valid Ohio driver license ( maximum of six points) and liability insurance
• Valid First Aid and CPR
• Valid Medication Administration from ODDD
